Maes Mihangel Reviews

Peter
Excellent location. Cottage generally comfortable but in need of refurbishment.
Julie
Beautiful location, spacious and a lovely welcome basket. Unfortunately, not as clean as it could be and parts definitely in need of updating.
Michelle
A wonderful location, with stunning views. Accommodation was comfortable and had everything a family of 8 needed. Owners very friendly, great area to explore. Will definitely return
Carol
Such a beautiful setting, very peaceful, no passing traffic. Endless 'lead on' walks but Forestry Commision land allows dogs freedon.. Hosts very helpful indeed, cottage very comfortable, just the place to recharge your batteries..
Andrew
The cottage is located in a spectacular setting with beautiful views. It is close to Tywyn which has a lovely beach. Great for walkers lots of places to explore.
Paul
Wonderful rural location, lovely to sit out in garden and enjoy the view.
Chris
This was a fantastic location with the most amazing views to wake up to. The owners were friendly and accommodating.
Marilyn
We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful location. The cottage was very comfortable, just what we needed. The owners were more than very helpful.
Susan
The views from the property were stunning and we enjoyed a multi generational holiday incorporating both a 40th and a 4th birthday. The house was warm, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the stove and being able to slow cook dishes while out all day. We enjoyed walks from the house and visiting local towns. We had a glorious day on the beach at Tywyn and took the scenic train journey from Tywyn to Porthmadog. This is a perfect property for a large group who want a quiet countryside location. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and the welcome pack a nice touch. We would certainly return.
Yerlan
Fabulous house! Perfect for family holidays, very well equipped, felt like home.
Michelle
Absolute home from home. Has everything you could need plus plenty extras courtesy of the owners (ie toiletries) and there is loads of space. Unlike many properties, windows have blinds and curtains which do well to keep the sun out in the early hours. Owners were really helpful and easily reachable. Access is a small issue due to the lengthy single track roads, and if many cars are being driven down, it is a bit of a squeeze to get them all on the drive and track outside, but itâ??s doable with caution. Would love to revisit!
Christina
Amazing location with great views.
Diane
Cottage beautiful had everything we needed local pub excellent value for money food amazing .As a family of 9 notincluding dog cottage had plenty of space .
Nafisah
A disappointing stay unfortunately as there was mould in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We had an ant infestation both inside and outside the property. The dishwasher did not work and leaked over the entire utility /kitchen floor. We did receive a nice welcome pack of welsh biscuits and tea / coffee which was a lovely touch. The bathrooms also had soaps, shampoo and shower gel available. Its a shame because with just a few touch ups this could be a very nice property. The location is beautiful and cannot be faulted. We enjoyed our stay simply for that reason alone. The weather was on our side so we were able to go on walks and use the garden daily.
Lauren
What a wonderful experience and a beautiful location! All the small creature comforts were provided by the lovely hosts, and we wanted for nothing. The childrenâ??s toys were a real win, and the amenities were fantastic. We will definitely be back!
Jessica
The property was surrounded by lovely views and was really secure, we had two dogs with us and we didnâ??t worry about them getting out of the garden. It had everything you needed like a washing machine, dishwasher, plenty of fridge space for 10 people, games to play etc. The owners were really friendly and happy to help. Would recommend!
Karen
We had a very happy family holiday with our extended family of 3 generations. Absolutely stunning location and views, very well-placed for spectacular local walks. The garden was completely secure for our dogs (2x large and 1x medium), which was great and meant we could relax when the dogs were outside. (although dog owners please note: if you have a dog that can and will jump 3 foot fences this may not be the case. There are sheep in the field beyond). The cottage is extremely well-stocked with books and maps on the local area, history, local walks and mountain climbing guides etc. We wished we could have stayed several more weeks to explore some more! Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Laura
This cottage is in the most wonderful setting with the most breathtaking views. Itâ??s very remote so take everything you need if youâ??re off exploring the mountains and wonâ??t get out to a town often. Completely enclosed garden, the beagle couldnâ??t escape, she loved watching the sheep and lambs and lovely walks to the river. House does have everything you need, would have been good to have a parasol for the garden picnic bench as it was hot a few days. All in all great 1st holiday in Wales
Susan
A well equipped cottage that is ideal for an extended family holiday. The location is beautiful and not far from either the coast or the mountains.
Martyn
Fabulous location and blissful isolation. A well equipped spacious cottage in the foothills of Cadar Idris. Great walks from the door. WiFi but no phone signal Very happy to return at some time.
Bernard
Lovely comfortable quiet accommodation. The road to the accommodation is narrow so please approach with caution .
Bill
Absolutely loved staying in the cottage. It has everything you need and the location for us was perfect. 3 generations holidaying together with 3 dogs, we all had a fab time. The views are absolutely breathtaking, loved sitting outside taking them all in. Would definitely stay here again
Clare
Absolutely incredible. Amazing hosts, stunning views, incredible cottage. Literally had the best week. We will be back. Thanks so much
Joanne
Really enjoyed our stay here plenty of space for 5 adults and everything you need is provided. The cottage is in a stunning location with beautiful views and also warm and cozy in winter. The dogs really enjoyed their holiday too, lots of lovely walks and beaches to run around. Thereâ??s plenty to see and do in this lovely area of Wales. The only thing that let it down a little were the stains on the carpets and chairs think they would be better with laminate flooring. We took the dogs beds and moved them into kitchen at night next to the range it was ideal for the dogs they were lovely and warm all night.
