Ty Gwair Reviews

Emma
Honestly, we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The views from the back are absolutely stunningand it’s clear the layout was carefully planned - the downstairs bedroom, stairsand first-floor bedrooms are all separate from the kitchen and living space, which was perfect for us. There’s plenty of roomand everything we needed was there, including some family games and DVDs for the evenings, which kept us entertained. It was a lovely touch to be greeted with Welsh baked goods, teaand milk after a long drive - much appreciated! The location is great for exploring Mount Snowdonand having a local Tesco express nearby made grabbing essentials easy, with bigger supermarkets in Bangor. Nature lovers will be in heaven with all the birdlife, especially those Tawny Owls serenading us in the evenings. We spent ages just watching the changing light over the mountains - absolutely breathtaking!
Sam

We had a really lovely stay at Ty Gwair. The place was perfect for our group of six adults, with plenty of space and really well kitted out. Having three bathrooms was such a bonus! We loved relaxing in the hot tub after days out, even if the weather wasn't perfect. The views of the mountains from the garden and conservatory are absolutely stunning. It’s a great spot for exploring Eryri, Bangor, Caernarfonand Anglesey. We also enjoyed some beautiful walks nearby. The owner was super friendly and welcomingand the welcome pack was a nice touch. We’d definitely come back!

The place was perfect for exploring gorgeous Wales, with easy access to Anglesey and Snowdon. Loved the waterfall on Watkin path, absolutely stunning. Lots of lovely walks nearby. Val was really friendly and always quick to reply if we needed anything.
David
We found the whole booking process smooth and well-organised. The owner of Ty Gwair clearly cares about making sure guests have all the info they need, including detailed maps and local tips. Parking was spot on for us, especially with a trailer, which was a relief. The conservatory’s panoramic mountain view really is a highlight, especially coming from flatlands. The only slight downside was the kitchen, which felt a bit dim; adding some brighter bulbs like in the living room would help. We also thought a small foldable table and chairs in the conservatory for breakfast would be a lovely touch. Night-time ventilation on the ground floor could be improved since only a full-opening door is available, but overall, it’s a lovely place and we’d happily return!
Emma
The cottage was just right for our stayand Val was so friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack - thanks a lot!
