We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cottage. The place itself is beautifully designed and incredibly aestheticevery detail feels thoughtfully put together and full of charm. The view is stunning, especially in the mornings, and really made our stay feel peaceful and refreshing. The underfloor heating was a total game changer. It kept the whole cottage warm and cozy, especially during the cooler evenings, and added an extra layer of comfort that we genuinely appreciated. We also loved the privacy. The owner was welcoming and helpful when needed, but gave us complete space to enjoy our time without any interruption. It truly felt like our own little getaway. Mari contacted me before we arrived and sent us a marked location. What 3 words helped us to arrive safely up the side of the hill. The property is 260 meters above sea level and the views across the valley are breath taking. The house is in excellent order with plenty of room for our extended family. The Hot Tub is monitored regulary and we were contacted by the owners when they required access. Also they were helpful when the road up through Rowen was closed due to roadworks. We had a great 2 weeks as there is plenty to do in the local area.

Our stay at this property was fantastic, and I can honestly say the views are the best I've ever woken up to. It's the perfect place for a peaceful getaway with family or friends. The location feels secluded and truly offers a chance to switch off and relax. The property itself is wellequipped for a selfcatered break. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the outdoor seating area was a wonderful spot to enjoy the scenery. One small thing to note for future guests is that there are three farm gates to open and close on the way to the property. It's best to have an extra person in the car to handle that. Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely stay again. I'm already missing that view!

The property was beautiful and the views are simply breathtaking. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard we loved looking through the owners renovation album it was fascinating! The kitchen is well stocked and has everything needed. The house was clean and inviting and the layout is perfect for multi family stays. The welcome book is very informative and provides a full detailed description of the cottage and how everything works. We would highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely be booking again.

So very pleased with the facilities and location. A beautiful landscape and a wonderful spacious property. The property owner, Mari, could not have been more welcoming to our family. At the time of booking, I was a little concerned about the cost, but you do truly get what you pay for. Those we met within the local community were also very friendly and keen to please. The local pub, The Ty Gwyn Hotel, is also worth a visit or two for the same reason. The approach road and track up to the house were a test for our driving skills, but nothing that a well maintained vehicle and reasonably competent driver could not handle so long as you didn't overdo the hospitality at the pub! We would very much be inclined to visit again.

There was 10 of us at the cottage and honestly we could have stayed forever. The decor is to die for, it felt so cosy and homely. The beds are so comfortable, weve all never slept so well! We absolutely loved the views too, we spent days sunbathing and also rainy days in the hot tub with the company of the sheep and cows. The number of bathrooms meant we could all have our privacy too. I couldnt recommend this place enough, slightly out the way to get to it but when you see the views it is 100 worth it. The owners were also so accommodating, big hats off to Dafydd who came up straight away when the cow pushed the water pump in the well and had it fixed straight away! I loved every second of being there. Thank you both for a lovely stay.

Maen Y Bardd was the perfect get away! The location is fantastic, both remote in the rugged landscape of Snowdonia and close to attractions such as Conwy castle as well as a plethora of pubs and restaurants all within driving distance. The owners were extremely helpful, even coming up to the house to setup the outdoor furniture for us when the weather was nice! We all found to house to be extremely comfortable and there were no issues with accommodating 8 adults and 2 children! The finish is to a high level and we all felt completely at home here. With views to die for and a lovely hot tub to take them in from, we will definitely be recommending Ysgubor Maen Y Bardd to friends and colleagues. Hoping to return in the near future.

The family have an accomplished a first class renovation on this property. The view from the bi folding door in the dining kitchen is stunning. We arrived late in the evening in the dark, to wake up to that view was with every penny. We holidayed with my mum and grandson and the accommodation catered for all ages. Cant recommend the accommodation and the helpfulness of the owners. Hope to return soon!!!

We were a family of group of nine adults and had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is an amazing place with everything we needed plus more and we loved our few days there. We loved our soaks in the hot tub, and the view is amazing. Our stay gave us a chance to reflect and recharge. We wish it could have been longer and if we get a chance well be back!

This is a fantastic property with great views Good sized rooms. The bedrooms are a little lacking in storage space although this does not stop it from being a great property. The drive up to the property is a little difficult which some may find challenging. It is vital that you follow the instructions that are provided as without them you will get lost The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of crockery etc. Some microwavable dishes would be useful The hot tub was very popular. Despite the occasionally inclement weather the grandkids absolutely loved it and the views over the valley definitely add to the experience. Highly recommended

This is a really great property, the views are outstanding, however, the road to the property is narrow and you will get your car scratched from overhanging branches. Inside everything is comfortable, and the kitchen is a great central area. The only downside with the bedrooms is there isn't enough hanging or storage for your clothes. The jacuzzi is spectacular at night.

This is the best cottage that we have ever stayed in. The hosts are lovely and super helpful and the facilities and location are unbelievably beautiful we were lucky enough to stay on a weekend where it was roasting hot and the northern lights were out. We had lovely walks through the mountains and down to the great pub in the village, which has a stream running through the beer garden that the kids loved splashing in while we enjoyed some local ale. If youre lucky enough to find availability for this cottage then jump at the opportunity. This is a really special, unique spot. I hope we get the chance to visit again.

An amazing weekend break at this truly wonderful cottage for our joint 50th birthday celebrations. Group of five couples. Its specification is to an extremely high standard and it was a 'wow' factor when we walked through the door. The welcome basket was a lovely touch from our hosts and the Welsh cakes went down a treat. Thank you. Situated on a hill with magnificent views of the Welsh landscape there was nothing better to relax to, with the jacuzzi being an added bonus it was already heated prior to our arrival which was amazing. The wood stove fire which had fuel to hand made the cottage so cosy and inviting. Facilities were great, beds so comfy, bathrooms with free standing baths added a touch of luxury to our stay. Cleaning products and other essential items were provided. Anyone considering booking here will not be disappointed. We didn't want to leave. Tips use the pinpoint location provided by the host as it's easy to miss the first gate to the main driveway. We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the pub restaurant TyGwyn at the bottom of the road, easy to walk to but would advise transport back for those who may struggle with an incline return walk. We would certainly recommend this cottage, it deserves 5 stars if not more.
