The Barn by Lyons Reviews

We love The Barn! Its our second time staying here and well definitely be coming back.
The cottage is lovely we had a wonderful stay and overall the cleanliness of the property is good. However, there is a mould issue in the bathroom and the bedroom directly next to the bathroom smelt of mould. All the drawers are very flimsy and poor quality making me reserved to use them. There is limited crockery and cutlery so we used the dishwasher constantly not an issue but a few more plates etc would help. We loved the holiday and would definitely come back but a little TLC would be advised.
We had a wonderful stay the location was perfect, a short walking distance to the sea and we travelled by train to Barmouth which was only 10 minutes away. The staff were helpful and friendly. I was slightly worried after reading some of the reviews but our experience was as follows, the beds were comfy slept really well. Extractor fans do work, there is a gate on the property, it is not possible for people to see you in the shower from outside. We loved the living upside down, the pool table and hot tub were great! Other comments not criticisms is that there is not a bbq so the listing needs to be updated and a few more plates and a new frying pan would be good. We were spoilt with the weather, a beautiful place we would love to return.

Lovely place and great location, A shame the hot tub and swimming pool nearby werent operating but a deduction was made off our payment. A couple of minor repairs need doing but a great place to stay and we will look to come back here soon.
Excellent stay, all you needed required. Facilities were perfect. Beds very comfortable. Great pool table and hot tub and really enjoyed the upside down living in a great location, beautiful beaches and great walks.
The Barns is a beautiful property in a fab location walking distance to the beach and within 10 minutes drive to Barmouth. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Grandchildren loved the pool table and the hotub was lovely. Would definitely recommend and would love another holiday at this property.

We had a wonderful week at the Barn,couldn't fault anything. We loved it that much we're booking for next year.
The property was spacious. We are a family of six adults and we never felt as though we were on top of each other. We require liked the open plan design upstairs and of course the pool table was a big hit. The barn was well equipped and everything was clean, fresh and comfortable. Thoughtful welcome gift of milk, butter, bread and cake. The only thing that would have been helpful is a larger fridge to accommodate the size of the property and more than 6 of each cutlery and crockery item. We loved our stay in the Barn.
The Barn was a great property to stay, everything we needed. The Toaster would not work so made a phone call to the manager and a replacement was delivered within 30 min, many thanks. Beautiful place. The satnav took us straight there. There was a slight issue with the freezer and fridge they were switched off at the plug , but no welcome pack or guide to inform us of this . We called the main reception in 5 minutes we had a knock at the door and the issue was fixed. Very nice , privacy shades on the hot tub are really handy. All the rooms were beautifully made up and the linens were pristine. For a house sleeps six more utensilscrockery is needed , otherwise brilliant. Big 4K TV in living room. Fab TV in bedrooms , all smart for streaming good picture otherwise. Fab walk to beach , lovely little shop en route to beach. Great for the pooch. Pool table nice touch. Very handy. Beautifully decorated. Would return and recommend. Just wished wed explored more.
Lovely property, with extras like hot tub and pool table which were very welcome as the weather was mixed. The location to the beach and train station was ideal. Things that could be improved are, more plates and cutlery as only 6 items of each. There were only 3 of the smaller plates. No egg cups. Also the lock on the outer gate is broken. There were no instructions in the welcome pack to say what to do with recycling, what to do with beddingtowels when we left, no list of useful phone numbers which we normally see in other properties we have stayed in. In fact the welcome pack only contained details of the caravan site the barn was situated on. None of the above detracted from a nice holiday.

We had a lovely stay here in between Christmas and New Year. The property is very spacious and it has everything you need. We thought the pool table was a great touch and we loved the hot tub. WiFi is excellent and access to Netflix and Prime was great. We visited during a quiet period but I can imagine privacy being an issue at busier times. When we werent in the hot tub we were strolling on the beach with the dog, which is just a few minutes walk. We discovered the onsite shop and arcades were open, which we were led to believe would be closed at this time of year so that was handy. We had a really lovely time and would love to come back.
This is a beautiful property in a lovely area shop bar fish and chips all a very short walk away pool was great lovely and warm hot tub was fantastic. The property has everything you need and more for a wonderful stay the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with anything we needed definitely recommend and will most definitely be returning
