Ael Y Bryn Reviews

Pauline
Great cottage everything you could ask for and more, very comfortable can't rate it enough
Such a beautiful cottage located in a central place for exploring what Wales has to offer. The host had thought of everything. It was more than a home from home. Cant recommend it enough.
A real home from home in a beautiful part of the world. So quiet and relaxing the sun sets were priceless. Angela had covered all bases her attention to detail and thoughtfulness meant we had everything we needed and more. The kitchen had every conceivable appliance, pot pan and utensil so home catering would not be a problem, you would then have the cosy private back patio to enjoy your meals. The bath took a while to run but whos in a hurry on holiday. The hot tub and fairy lights made relaxing easy and effortless. Our four legged companion was safe in the garden however if you did own an escape artist you may have to keep your eye on them as one side would allow them to visit next door, but you know your pooch. The community pub in the village is warm and welcoming offering food on some evenings but if you are lucky enough to be there for a scotch egg off the bar you will not be disappointed. There is one other shop in the village but only a 3 mile drive to a coop or a little longer to a tesco etc. We loved our stay in Angelas little piece of heaven and would definitely recommend and return. Thank you again, an exemplar hostess.
Miranda
Fabulous cottage with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very responsive and left a basket of goodies on arrival which was a lovely touch. The hot tub is great and very welcome after a day of exploring. Would highly recommend this cottage.
Lovely Cottage, everything you could possibly need , Lovely views on a clear day , had minor issue with the shower which was sorted straight away. Will definitely go back.
Lovely cottage, everything was very clean. Lots of little helpful touches, such as pegs and a full sized washing line and comfy garden sun loungers. Kitchen very well stocked. Great location and never had trouble parking right outside the cottage. The owner was very easily contactable and helpful. Perfect for a week away, plenty to do nearby and a great cottage.
A lovely cosy cottage, perfect for two people. Hot tub a nice luxury after a day out
Had a lovely break away at Al Y Bryn, such a stunning peaceful property. The cottage was quaint with all the facilities you required. Angela the owner was wonderful and had to ring her twice, once being for my husband and a personal health reason her support was second to none. We sadly had to return early for appointment but will be back as the cottage was outstanding. The hot tub and log fire were luxuries. We left some dishwasher tablets for the next holiday maker as not having a dish washer at home purchased a bag, Angela left some goodies for us to enjoy and biscuits for milo. Thank you Remember your slippers as the lounge is stone flags which are stunning but require slippers for comfort. A 10 out of 10 property you wont be disappointed Janet Carl & Milo

We had a lovely stay at Ael Y Bryn! The cottage is in an excellent location for exploring the national park. Everything you could need was available no small detail had been missed. It was incredibly clean and comfort to stay in. Hot tub was a great luxury and the garden was beautifully kept. We would definitely stay again.
Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely cottage . The welcome pack was a lovely touch . Our pooch was very well thought off , treats , towels , poop bags even his own bed . Very clean and well presented home
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ael Y Bryn! Fab location, easy drive to Snowdon which we climbed with our dog who absolutely loved it. We loved watching the sheep from the cottage, relaxing in the hot tub, and enjoying the welcome goodies provided by Angela as did our dog who loved the dog treats! It felt like everything had been thought of in the cottage to ensure a lovely stay, which was really appreciated. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in this beautiful part of Wales.
We had the most wonderful stay at Ael y Bryn it was perfect in every way. The cottage was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, and incredibly comfortable, making it the ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring. The hot tub was a real highlight! It was ideally located for accessing local sights, with several scenic walking routes just a short stroll away and stunning beaches within easy reach. Angela is a wonderful host, and Ael y Bryn offers the perfect base for a memorable stay in Snowdonia. We cant wait to stay again!

An amazing stay the owner thought of everything. From walking in to the welcome gifts, which were so lovely. To thinking of everything in the welcome pack. The cottage is beautiful and peaceful and loved seeing all the sheep. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. A relaxed 7 days, and thanks for the recommendation for the sauna on the beach which was a wonderful experience xxx
Leanne
Ael y bryn was the perfect cottage for two and our spaniel and in such a beautiful location. Everything is done to such a high standard and the little touches like luxury bedding, dog station, and welcome hamper made it even more special. We used the hot tub a lot, so simple thanks to your instructions. We had such a relaxing week in this lovely comfortable home, thank you
Ashley
Absolutely incredible little cottage! ! By far the best place we've stayed in. Very cosy, great views, everything you need in short travelling distance beach, lovely hikes etc. Never felt so welcome, really thought of everything from air fryer to even a doggy pot full of treats for out pooch. Can't folt this property one bit! We stayed at the first week of January so can imagine it was quite cold at times but the hot tub changed all of that! So relaxing.
We had lovely stay at Ael Y Bryn cottage. The cottage is perfect for a couples stay, good size and clean through out. Every detail is carefully thought out and information is provided on the local area and the cottage for your stay. Would highly recommend. Good location too, very quiet. Thank you for our stay.

We had a 4 night stay in this beautiful, quiet, renovated cottage in the first week of October and were fortunate enough to have good weather. The owner had thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and warm, especially on chilly nights wood burner was excellent. The views of the mountains are fantastic especially from the bedroom windows. We chose this cottage as it was where my husband visited and stayed with his grandparents when he was a child. It brought back many happy memories and one of them was of waiting for the milkman to come with a churn to fill a jug with milk. What he loved was having a modern bathroom with all its conveniences instead of having to go outside to a shed where the privy was! We can hole heartedly recommend staying at Ael y Bryn not only for an exceptional cottage but for its situation and the easy access to places like Portmadog, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Portmeirion, the steam train, slate mines and even a trip on the train to Llandudno.
Stacey
The cottage was lovely, so cute. On arrival there was a little welcome basket. They'd thought of the small things such as pet bowls, towels etc. The log fire was lovely to come back to after wet walks & was nice to relax in the hot tub. The bed was so comfy, I'd say we had a decent night sleep but not with a 4month old child holidaying too. The only downside is the power of the shower wasn't the best, and the sofa wasn't the comfiest but we were out all dy so it didn't matter. This place is worth a stay and the owner was helpful with quick responses to emails.
Joanna
Absolutely loved staying in this beautiful cottage. Couldn't recommend it more! Will definitely be back.
Lesley
The cottage was absolutely stunning. Very clean and immaculate. Every little detail thought of. Good location, with good access to many lovely places to visit! Highly recommended!

Fabulous little home. Has everything you need and more. Very clean infact spotless. Excellent area to explore Wales. Fabulous views from garden and bedroom windows.
Elaine
Angela is a wonderful host, very helpful and the cottage and gardens are beautiful. The cottage is decorated to a high standard and the hot tub is lovely after days out walking. The area is beautiful and peaceful but plenty to do from a few miles away. I would highly recommend as a base in North Wales.
We felt very much at home for the week we spent in this lovely cottage. Our Border Terrier Milo loved the enclosed garden, which we also relaxed in after I had climbed Yr Wyffa. The views across to the mountains are breathtaking, and there are plenty of beautiful places within a 30 minute drive. I particularly enjoyed driving through lovely scenery with very quiet roads. The only downside for us is that the walk from the village and pub is quite an uphill climb which my disabled wife couldnt manage in a wheelchair. The local pub however, is well worth a visit for a lovely meal. Overall, we made the right choice to stay here and loved our week.
Richard
Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Nice views and useful garden. Didn't get to try hot tub due to bad weather.
Beautiful property, well maintained with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Loved our stay at Ael Y Bryn. Cottage had everything we needed and hottub a real bonus after a long day. Couldnt fault anything and highly recommend for visiting Snowdonia, Llyn peninsula and North Wales.
Richard
Lovely cottage with fantastic views very clean and tidy, great central location for visiting north wales. Welcome basket was lovely as were the dressing gowns, hottub was lovely could only use for the first part of the week due to the weather. Storage heaters as there design don't react quickly to.sudden changes in the weather so was cold no starter pack of fire wood as par the listing which we didn't realise until it was too late so worth getting some just in case.
Ashleigh
Wow! What Beautiful views! I loved waking up in the morning and opening the blinds to see the sheep and lambs in the field opposite. This lovely little cottage has everything you could ask for, the bed is super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked! The location is out of the way of all the little towns, but is a small drive to the nearest town if youve forgotten anything! Angela the owner was so helpful if we needed anything only a message away! Thank you for a lovely stay at Ael Y Bryn
Catherine
This is a fantastic little cottage, perfect location for walking in Snowdonia. Well equipped with everything you need for a self catering getaway. We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect. After walking up cad Idris the hot tub was a welcome. Angela has refurbished the cottage perfectly. I've already shared this amongst my friends and I'm sure they will be booking soon.
This place is an incredible find. Just on the outskirts of Llan Ffestiniog, this is located far enough out that it feels remote and private, but close enough to be able to walk to the local shops and pub. It's easy to reach Porthmadog in about 15 mins as well. As soon as we stepped in, it felt like home. It was cosy with homely touches everywhere. You can tell the owner really cares. There was a book left with all the useful information and where to find certain things, a FULLY equipped kitchen, a little goody box too. The bed was amazing and some of the best sleep I've had in a while. We've been in touch with the owner since we've left, but she is easily reachable should you need anything during your stay. We will definitely be booking to come back.
Beautiful cottage ,very well appointed with a lot of thoughtful touches . Nice quiet location but near enough to a host of great places to visit , we visited Criccieth,Porthmadog,Blackrock sands ,Conwy and Betws y Coed to name a few. Stunning view from the front of the cottage . The hot tub was great.
Joanne
Had a lovely week in this fabulous little cottage. All our needs were catered for. Enjoyed waking up to amazing views! Great welcome package and the bed was so comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again
Sykes review. ?? Thank you again, Angela, for such a wonderful stay at Ael Y Bryn. The cottage is everything you need....warm, cozy, very comfortable, fully kitted out kitchen, great views and a super location with log burner and hot tub for some lovely evenings by the fire or out under the stars. Blessed with a pretty much dry week, we had some wonderful walks and great meals in local pubs and restaurants. Lovely crisp snow on a couple of mornings added to the stay. So thanks again, and for anyone reading this, I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Alan & Jade
10012024. We have just arrived home from the beautiful Ael Y Bryn. I cannot recommend this beautiful cottage enough. Its in a perfect location for walks, local shops, a pub & its roughly a 30 minute drive if you wanted to climb Snowdon. The cottage had everything we wanted & more. It was clean, the log burner was amazing, enclosed garden for our dog & the hot tub was perfect from after a long day out hiking. The owner is lovely she gave us the biggest warm welcome & the views are perfect. Will defiantly be coming back 1010 !!
